Jessica Bougard, Community Coach
Coach Jessica Bougard is excited to be coaching with the Etowah Eagle
Volleyball program this season. She grew up in East Cobb and played high
school volleyball for Coach Jones at Pope High School. Playing as an
Outside Hitter, Right Side, and Middle Hitter when needed, Coach Jessica
learned how to be a versatile player. During her time at Pope, she helped
lead her team to multiple Area Championships, an Elite Eight appearance,
and a Final Four appearance. Also during her high school career she also
played multiple years of club volleyball for various clubs around the area.
Although Coach Jessica was preparing to play in college, her shoulder
injury kept her back from collegiate play, but did not end her career with
volleyball. She did end up needing shoulder surgery later on, which is why
Coach Jessica is very big on injury prevention with her athletes.
Immediately after attending the University of West Georgia where she
graduated with her Education degree Cum Laude, she began coaching.
Coach Jessica coached with the Varsity program at Kell High School for
four years, and coached at Cobb Atlanta Volleyball club for four years as
well. This was all prior to moving to Baton Rouge, Louisiana (Geaux Tigers)
where she continued teaching, but took a year off from coaching. A year
later she returned to Woodstock and continued her teaching career at
Wheeler High School. Due to transitioning careers, she decided to not
coach high school volleyball, but coached another year of club. Once she
transitioned from being a high school teacher, to becoming a Realtor she
coached another high school season for Fellowship Christian School.
Coach Jessica is still currently a Realtor in the Woodstock area with
Atlanta Communities where she thoroughly loves her career, and is
ecstatic that she is able to enjoy her career and be able to be a part of
such a strong high school volleyball program.
Coach Jessica is extremely excited for this season with the Etowah High
School Eagle. She is excited to meet a whole new group of athletes, and
help them grow in their athleticism and as young ladies.
